About Lemsfordonline.

Welcome to Lemsfordonline your community website. This site is for the residents of Lemsford and surrounding areas. It is a non profit making website which I hope will provide information on events, local clubs, associations, groups, local services and competitions.

 

 

I have lived in Stanborough for over 12 years and WGC for 50 years. I am a partner in a local web design business which specialises in building sites for local business at an affordable price. The site evolved from a request from local residents to link all the web sites in the village. The sites were St John's Church, St John's School, Lemsford Local History Group, Residents website, and Lemsford Springs. I am a member of Lemsford Local History group and maintain the History Website which was built by a son of the village Richard Borrie. We are building a web site for the residents association and I have also built a web site for Lemsford Springs who I am also a wildlife watch leader. My idea was to have one page with village images linking these sites which I have completed.

As a father of a 12 year old son I then thought it would be useful to have a page for local events, clubs in the area etc. From this idea the site grew to its present size.
Having expanded the site and being a small business in the area I decided to promote local reliable companies on the site which provides services to local residents and helps the businesses. This site is a non profit site and the accounts will be available to view and kindly administered by Gail Maisey a local accountant who is known to the village as Gem Accountancy and many of her clients live in and around the area
The site is completed with my ideas I now want local people to supply me with information to promote their ideas in the form of events, meetings, clubs, associations etc and make it a truly community site for local people
The aim of the site is to provide a directory of information which makes your life easier and provide you with new ideas and interests
The sources I have used are various and I would like to thank them all for allowing me to link their sites. I would like to single out the website www.hertsdiret.org which is one of the best web site for providing answers to all your local needs.

Kids Zone

I have built Lemsfordonline based on what services would be useful to the community. The Kids Zone pages were built by my son and we have left them with icons asking the kids what they want. If you have a favorite site on the web, tell us about it so we can add it. If you want to send an Image 200 by 125 in a jpeg or gif I will use that icon as the link image. To help us build your favorites and tell us about the websites you want to see

Competitions

Lemsfordonline will have various competitions each month mainly for the children of the area. They will be varied and try to make the children aware of the area and many clubs associations etc they can join. Lemsfordonline will advertise various local businesses for a donation. This donation will be used to support various organisations in Lemsford and surrounding areas. The Church, school and local clubs will benefit and any new clubs or association starting up will be considered.
